$12,000 expenses for Google! Wow, you must have had a good stash of money saved for that.

Nice earnings although quite a dangerous game. You’ll never be free. You’ll always have to check your stats. Daily!

Tomaz, you bring up a good point. A lot of people think that affiliate marketing is as simple as “Set and Forget”. It’s not. It’s work! I could go days without checking stats. Well I could if I didn’t love checking them many times a day :)

Affiliate Marketing is “Work”. Often, you can setup a new campaign, devote an entire well thought out site to the campaign and get absolutely nothing out of it.

The only way to make passive money is through investing, not marketing.

btw I had no stash. I had credit cards. I am now 100% debt free with a bunch of money in the retirement funds. The only thing about credit cards is that you can’t spend more than you can afford. Having a $1,000 in credit card debt is fine. $5,000 may be considered way to much.

And remember, if things take off and you’re spending a bunch a month, sign up for a card that has rewards. Right now I am using the Amazon Chase Credit card. I only get $25 for every $2500 I spend but that equates to about 1%!
