If you go to MySpace you are almost guaranteed to see an ad that is a game. There one’s like “Bush vs. Schwartzeneger” and “Shoot 20 Ducks”. These are really great ideas. They get somebody interested in the game and lets their competitive nature take over. Somebody will be more willing to get their “Free Ringtone” or “Dinner at Chili’s” if they feel they have earned it.
I’m curious if this interactive advertising has a proper name and exactly what kind of converstion ratio they have.
Quick question. Has ANYONE that reponded to one of these ads for a free dinner or that ilk actually received ANYTHING? I had to resort to cancelling a credit card after being tempted by a free dinner at Olive Garden offer. They posted several magazine subscriptions to my account and never delivered the meal coupon. Several other people have related different versions of the same story to me.
I never have. The games are actually tempting sometimes but I just don’t want the krap they’re giving. A free lunch seems like a great idea but I guess there really is no such thing.
